Valentines Gift Guide || Kitchenware

Valentines Day for me isn't just about couples, it can be a nice day to treat your mum or have a night with your girlfriends. It can also be an excuse to buy yourself something nice. Especially if you're a busy mum or have a hectic lifestyle, it's always a nice day to treat yourself and recharge the batteries with something a little special. With it only a week away, I thought I'd share some cute little kitchenware items I picked up in Waitrose, to help spread the love no matter who you're spending the day with.

First thing was this gorgeous Yankee Candle in scent Pink Sands. It's a lovely baby pink colour and smells like you're on a beach. Light it before having a bath and imagine you're on holiday by the sea and bathing in the sun. You could light it in your room before bed so when you go to sleep the scent is in the room and you fall asleep to the aroma (remember to blow it out before you sleep though, even though it's in glass, you can never be too safe) Or if you're having a romantic meal, it's a nice litte touch to add to the centre of the table.

Next was this baby blue mug with a love birds and heart design. I really like the vase shape of this mug, its it's a really nice size and the handle is a good size too. I think it would be the perfect addition to a breakfast in bed as the two little love birds is very cute and romantic. It would be perfect for a hot chocolate as the stem of the mug is good size to mix your hot chocolate into a paste. The wider opening means there's room for whipped cream and mini marshmallows but it's too large where your drink goes cold fast.

Lastly are these silicon cupcake cases and heart shaped chopping boards. The cases are in the same baby pink and baby blue colour theme so are super adorable. I love silcon pastry cases as they can be washed and reused. Plus the pink ones are in the shape of a love heart. Have a bake day with your other half or girlfriends and get loads of toppings to decorate your cupcakes with. Do things like white and red icing, hundreds and thousands, marshmallows, buttons, or cherries and then sprinkle with some icing sugar and present them on your love heart chopping boards.

So whether you'll have some well deserved rest or spend the day with love ones, I hope you have a fab day and that I've given you some ideas on how to spread the love.
